During a campaign rally in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Friday, President Donald Trump responded to a protester who interrupted his speech by remarking that the individual's mother would be unhappy with their actions because she is voting for his endorsed candidate.

As the protester was escorted out of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center by police and staff, Trump briefly paused his remarks. "That person's going home to mom. Gonna get scolded because mom is voting for us. You know, mom is voting for us," Trump said before resuming his address.

Trump was in South Carolina to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Darline Graham, who is participating in a runoff election. He encouraged attendees to vote for Graham, even though his own name is not on the ballot. "If Trump isn't actually on the ballot... just come and vote. It's so important," Trump stated, asking supporters to "pretend, please, that I'm on the ballot."

Trump described personally encouraging Graham to run and outlined her platform, which he said includes defending common sense, advocating for lower taxes and increased paychecks, opposing amnesty for undocumented immigrants, and protecting Second Amendment rights. He also asserted that Graham would be a strong supporter of the military.

Graham, who joined Trump on stage, thanked him for his endorsement and his friendship with her late brother, former Sen. Lindsey Graham. "Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you for your endorsement. It has meant the world to me," Graham said. "Thank you for your support. Thank you for coming to South Carolina. This is MAGA country, right?"

The rally was held ahead of Tuesday's runoff election where Graham faces Ralph Norman.
