Former President Donald Trump amplified a video on Sunday that depicts mixed martial arts fighters assaulting journalists, less than a day after proposing UFC President Dana White as his next White House press secretary. The AI-generated animated clip, shared via Trump's Truth Social account, shows White in the press briefing room summoning UFC fighters to attack reporters asking questions. In the video, one journalist asks, "Is Trump a threat to democracy?" before being taken down by fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Another reporter is shown being carried out by fighter Islam Makhachev after expressing discomfort. Fighters Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harris are depicted pulling at a reporter who questions Trump's pronouns, leading to the reporter exclaiming, "This is fascism!" and another fighter kicking someone. When a reporter inquires about a potential Michelle Obama presidential bid, White summons fighter Josh Hokit, who grabs the microphone and declares Obama is "a man." The clip concludes with Trump asking White about the briefing, to which White responds, "Fiery, but mostly peaceful."
Earlier on Saturday, Trump had announced he offered the press secretary role to White, whom he described as a "violent fighter and warrior." He suggested White bring "assistants" with him, naming Nurmagomedov, Makhachev, Nunes, and others. White has reportedly declined the job offer but was scheduled to meet with Trump on Monday. The video he reposted, featuring UFC fighters in the White House press room, echoes a promotional event held on the South Lawn in June.
