Former President George W. Bush hosted 27 veterans at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, for the 16th annual Warrior Ride on November 6, 2026. The event honors the service and recovery of wounded warriors.

"These veterans have overcome a lot... but there's no self-pity. There's no, 'Please feel sorry for me,'" Bush stated on Friday. "They serve as a great example of how to deal with life's difficulties and recover. I've watched a lot of them over the years go from darkness to light."

Fox News contributor Billy Bush, the former president's cousin, praised Bush's sustained commitment to service members. "George W. Bush has never wavered," he said on "The Sunday Briefing." "He's done it 16 years in a row. He's hopping on his bike and riding with the guys."

Billy Bush also noted the former president's artistic focus on wounded warriors as another demonstration of his dedication. "Character matters, and his artwork is about wounded warriors. He has really, really lived it all the way through. So hats off to the old man."

He humorously expressed concern for his 80-year-old cousin's participation in the bike ride, advising him to "Keep it on the flats, man."
