Former President Donald Trump has publicly urged Darline Graham Nordone, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, to run for a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate. Trump met with Nordone in the Oval Office and subsequently posted his endorsement on Truth Social.

"We have known each other for a long time — She is a spectacular person, and a true American Patriot," Trump stated on the social media platform. "During her visit, I asked Darline, for the Good of our Nation, to run for the U.S. Senate in the Special Republican Primary on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. I hope Darline does this, in that there would be nobody better to honor the legacy of her beloved brother, Lindsey."

Nordone, 62, was sworn in on Monday to assume her brother's seat. Trump's endorsement is seen as a significant boost that could ensure her victory in the Republican primary. Mage1
