Former President Donald Trump engaged in a vociferous social media attack against filmmaker Michael Moore, labeling him a "LOWLIFE" and a "Loser" in posts shared on the Truth Social platform.
Trump's broadside followed comments Moore made on CNN earlier this week. During the television appearance, Moore advocated for progressive Democrats to assume greater control within the party, stating, "it’s time we started winning."
Responding directly on Truth Social, Trump wrote, "No Michael, just get used to more losing! You’ve been a Loser all your life, and nothing’s going to change." The former president also targeted Abdul El-Sayed, the progressive Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Michigan, Moore's home state.
"Abdul, your new Communist Comrade, will not be able to save you. He knows you are a failed LOWLIFE, and he wants to pick up where you have left," Trump posted. While neither Moore nor El-Sayed are described as communists, Trump has frequently employed the term to characterize Democratic figures, particularly as polls suggest a strong performance for Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.
Amidst what his posts described as "the Golden Age of America," Trump asserted that "a small group of misfits, like you, Abdul, and others, won’t be able to destroy it, and change the course of History in so doing." He also claimed the existence of "Best Economic Numbers, EVER, Best Trade Numbers, Best Export Numbers, Biggest Investment in our Country," despite his sinking approval ratings and an ongoing war in Iran.
Trump concluded his message by stating, "See you on the Political Battlefield."
