Fitness guru Tracy Anderson’s poodles attacked an elderly neighbor after escaping from her Hamptons yard, her lawyer confirmed.
The incident occurred in Sag Harbor, where the 76-year-old neighbor, Monica Enders, sustained bite wounds to her calf. The celebrity trainer and her husband, Chris Asplundh, are reportedly devastated by the event.
Anderson’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., stated that the dogs, described as “loving family dogs,” had never shown aggression before. He suggested the poodles were “spooked” and that Asplundh immediately took responsibility and secured the animals.
Burke also noted that Anderson and Asplundh were with their neighbor after the incident. They were surprised to learn from a media report that Enders subsequently lost consciousness, as she was conscious and communicating with them while being assisted into an ambulance.
According to Burke, the three poodles escaped through a hole in Enders’ fence. Anderson and Asplundh have taken steps to secure the area with a temporary fence and plan to work with their neighbor to repair her fence to prevent future occurrences. They are continuing to offer their support for Enders' recovery.
