Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, has declared San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy to be in an elite tier of NFL quarterbacks. Brady made the emphatic statement during a recent appearance on Fox, placing the 49ers at the top of his power rankings and praising Purdy's current performance.

"Brock Purdy is playing as well as anybody," Brady said. "[He] should be considered in the tier-one QB discussions; at least, he is in my eyes."

When asked if Purdy has proven himself to be an elite NFL quarterback, Brady responded, "It sure looks like it. [He’s] playing within the system, throwing the ball accurately, no negative plays, getting his team in and out of the right plays. I love the way that he’s managing every single game."

Purdy has led the 49ers to an undefeated 3-0 start to the season. He currently ranks among the league leaders with nine touchdown passes and holds the top spot in the NFL with a 93.8 QBR. Despite his success, Purdy's less flashy style has sometimes led to him being overlooked in conversations about the league's top quarterbacks, a group that has often included players like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson.
