A two-year-old boy was hospitalized after overdosing on cocaine at a rental property in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Monday. Alexander T. Moles, 39, who was watching the child and other children while the boy's mother showered, faces multiple charges.

According to court documents, Moles informed the boy's mother that her son was sleepy and having trouble breathing as they were preparing to check out of the Airbnb. He allegedly drove the toddler to a local hospital and contacted the mother, stating the child might have fallen asleep. The mother then called first responders.

Emergency personnel administered two doses of Naloxone nasal spray, which reportedly reversed the overdose effects. The child was taken to Cooper University Cape Regional Hospital, where blood tests confirmed the presence of cocaine.

During a search of the rental property, authorities discovered a partial orange and white pill, several tinfoil packets labeled 'tapentadol hydrochloride,' a bag containing a white substance, and multiple short straws. Tapentadol hydrochloride is a prescription painkiller that can be abused when combined with other substances like cocaine.
