Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) will bring its unique Lockdown event back to Chicago for the first time in ten years. The Credit Union Arena will host the event on Sunday night, marking the first time Lockdown has been held since 2016 and its return as a pay-per-view since 2014. All matches on the card will take place inside a steel cage.
Lockdown will begin at 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on TNA+. Pre-show matches will be available for free on TNA's digital platforms.
Avery Styles, son of wrestling icon A.J. Styles, is scheduled to make an appearance, though his specific role on the card remains unclear. Styles, who has recently begun his professional wrestling career, has previously competed in Game Changer Wrestling.
The event's pre-show will feature two matches, both held inside steel cages. BDE and Rich Swann will face The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch), while Special Agent 0 will compete against Trey Miguel. Additionally, a dark match will pit AAW Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo against The Home Town Man for the championship, with Alonzo earning a TNA contract if he successfully defends his title.
In a championship bout, Matt and Jeff Hardy will defend their TNA World Tag Team Championship against brothers Nic and Ryan Nemeth. Nic Nemeth, who also holds the TNA World Championship, could become a double champion if they win.
The TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship will also be on the line. The current champions, Allie and Rosemary (as DemonXBunny), who won the titles at Slammiversary, will defend against The Elegance Brand (Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance). Rosemary is currently sidelined, leaving Allie to find a mystery partner for the defense.
A grudge match is set between AJ Francis and Elijah, stemming from Francis's interference in Elijah's music career. This confrontation is described as the "Final Encore" between the two.
Jason Hotch will defend the TNA International Championship against Mustafa Ali. Hotch previously defeated Ali for the title on "Impact," and Ali has since been seeking to reclaim it.
Frankie Kazarian and Moose are set to face each other for the first time in an Escape the Cage match, where the first competitor to exit the cage will be declared the winner.
Cedric Alexander will defend the TNA X Division Championship against Leon Slater. Alexander's previous victory over Slater prevented Slater from becoming the longest-reigning X Division champion. This rematch carries an added stipulation: if Slater loses, his previous championship reign will be erased from the history books.
The main card will also feature a Lethal Lockdown match, the first in ten years. The team of Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, and Alisha Edwards (The System) will face Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, and Jada Stone. This match type involves multiple competitors in a steel cage with various weapons.
In the TNA Knockouts World Championship match, Xia Brookside will defend her title against Elayna Black. Black, competing in her hometown, has expressed anticipation for the cage match, having been in a recent rivalry with Brookside.
