Three Found Dead in San Diego Home After Neighbor Reports 'Loud Bangs'
Police are investigating a potential murder-suicide after a neighbor discovered two adults and an 11-year-old child deceased in a Lake Murray residence.
Two adults and a child were found dead early Wednesday in a San Diego home after a neighbor reported hearing loud noises overnight. Police responded to the residence on Boulder Lake Avenue in Lake Murray shortly before 8:20 a.m. following a call from a concerned neighbor who stated she heard "loud bangs the night before."
The neighbor, who had a key to the home to pet-sit, entered the residence after noticing the child did not leave for school. Inside, she discovered a husband and wife deceased in a bedroom and their 11-year-old daughter deceased in a separate room.
San Diego police confirmed that a firearm was involved in the incident. Officers stated they had not previously been called to the home. Investigators are treating the case as a potential murder-suicide and believe there is no ongoing threat to the community. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the deaths to contact the San Diego Police Department homicide detectives.
