The full cast of co-hosts for the 30th season of ABC's "The View" has been confirmed, with Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin all set to return.
The confirmation came in a promotional video released by the network on Thursday, which teased that viewers might be surprised by who appears during the season premiere week. "If you think you know who will be here for our season premiere week, you’re about to be surprised," the teaser stated.
Joy Behar, a long-standing member of the panel with over 25 years on the show, humorously commented on her extended tenure. An accompanying Instagram post celebrating the returning hosts declared, "Your favorite women of daytime are back for season 30! The celebration kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 8 on ABC."
Speculation about a potential cast shakeup had circulated since the 29th season concluded in July. Reports from outlets like The Daily Mail suggested that Karoline Leavitt, former White House press secretary under President Trump, was in talks to join the show. However, CNN reportedly debunked these claims, stating that Leavitt had only been invited as a guest.
Further chatter emerged when former co-host Rosie O'Donnell indicated on a podcast that she might participate in the 30th-anniversary special. "They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think," O'Donnell said, clarifying that her involvement would be as a guest. A spokesperson for the show told Page Six that "nothing" had been "formalized" regarding such appearances.
O'Donnell's comments reportedly sparked a reaction among other former co-hosts. Michelle Collins, another former panelist, expressed her disappointment about not receiving an invitation via Instagram. Sources also indicated that while other past hosts might be invited for the anniversary, Meghan McCain has not been asked to participate.
Whoopi Goldberg, who moderates "The View," recently offered insight into her salary during an appearance on the "Baby, This Is Keke Palmer" podcast, stating that her "View" paycheck would likely surprise people, though she did not disclose the exact figure.
