Alyssa Farah Griffin, a co-host on ABC's "The View," confronted her liberal colleagues on Thursday, reminding them of their past defense of Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner despite his controversies, including a Nazi-linked tattoo.

Griffin suggested that the panel's previous discussions and support for Platner, who was running for a Maine Senate seat, could hinder the Democratic Party's chances. The exchange occurred as the co-hosts debated political candidate controversies and party loyalty.

"I love you guys, but a lot of you guys defended a guy with a Nazi tattoo who was credibly accused of a number of things," Griffin stated. Joy Behar, another co-host, responded, "Don't look at me, I did not." Sunny Hostin acknowledged defending Platner multiple times, though she later stated he should exit the race following multiple allegations of sexual abuse.

"I did, but I didn’t know most of his background," Hostin said regarding her prior support for Platner. Whoopi Goldberg, also a co-host, claimed she was unaware of the tattoo's Nazi affiliation, stating, "I didn’t see that tattoo as a Nazi thing. No one ever told me that tattoo – what that was."

The discussion also touched on the potential for future presidential candidates, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., as a contender for the 2028 Democratic nomination. Griffin expressed skepticism, suggesting that a Republican like Marco Rubio would likely win against Ocasio-Cortez. Behar agreed, attributing this to a potential reluctance within the U.S. to elect a female president.

Sara Haines, another co-host, listed several candidates she favored, such as former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Hostin and Behar questioned the electability of a candidate like Buttigieg, with Behar stating that the country could not afford to "try it."
