The Belmont, a popular West Hollywood nightclub and bar, will close at the end of August after 26 years in business. Owner Dylan Leong announced the closure on Instagram, inviting patrons to a "last hurrah" to celebrate the venue's history.

The Belmont, located at 747 N. La Cienega Blvd., became a fixture in the Los Angeles nightlife scene, known for its Sunday karaoke nights, generous drink servings, and eclectic music selection. Leong did not disclose the specific reason for the closure but stated the club would cease operations by the end of the month.

The bar will maintain its regular operating hours, closing on Mondays and open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On Fridays, it will open at 12 p.m. and close at 2 a.m.

News of the closure has elicited emotional responses from patrons who shared memories of their experiences at the club over its 26-year tenure. Social media posts reflect a widespread sentiment of loss, with many lamenting the end of an era and the impact the venue had on friendships and personal milestones. Fans highlighted events such as watching the Kings win the Stanley Cup and the U.S. Olympic team's victories, as well as numerous birthday celebrations and karaoke nights as cherished memories.

The venue's closing marks the end of a significant chapter for many in the Los Angeles community who considered it a neighborhood bar and a place for genuine enjoyment.
