An 18-year-old Texas woman, Camilla Fuentes, has disappeared just days before she was scheduled to begin her freshman year at Villanova University. Fuentes was last seen on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. in Rowlett, Texas.
Her family grew concerned when she did not return home and discovered her car parked outside the North Garland restaurant where she works. Her keys, Apple Watch, and AirPods were found inside the vehicle, though her laptop and iPad are reportedly missing. Her manager stated that Fuentes was not scheduled to work on Thursday and did not show up for her shift on Friday.
Fuentes left behind a note, the contents of which have not been disclosed. Additionally, her passport, birth certificate, and Social Security card were taken from a lockbox at her family's residence prior to her disappearance.
Family members described Fuentes's unannounced vanishing as out of character, emphasizing her eagerness to study civil engineering at Villanova. While police are treating the case as a missing person investigation and do not currently suspect foul play, her family expressed concerns that she may have been coerced. Fuentes is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The Rowlett Police Department is seeking information from the public regarding her whereabouts.
