A traffic stop for a seatbelt violation in Lebanon, Tennessee, last week took an unexpected turn when the vehicle's 66-year-old passenger was accused of exposing herself to passing drivers. The incident occurred Tuesday night when officers stopped a car occupied by two senior citizens.

According to the Lebanon Police Department, a K9 unit alerted officers to the possible presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Following the alert, the 66-year-old female passenger was taken out of the vehicle. At that point, she allegedly began exposing herself to traffic on the highway. The reason for this alleged behavior was not immediately clear.

Officers reported finding what they believe to be cocaine and drug paraphernalia on both occupants of the vehicle. The alleged exposure did not prevent the subsequent arrests. Both individuals were charged with multiple offenses.

The Lebanon Police Department commended their officers and K9 Donner for their efforts in keeping the community safe.

The incident concluded with the arrest of both individuals. The stop, which began as a response to a seatbelt violation, resulted in accusations of indecent exposure and the discovery of suspected illegal substances.
