A 17-year-old entrepreneur, known as the "King of Lemonade," was fatally shot while driving in Richmond, Virginia, weeks after graduating from high school. Aubrie Greene, founder of Breezzy's Lemonade, was identified as the victim found suffering from a gunshot wound when police responded to a car crash on July 5.

Greene crashed into a shed after being shot and succumbed to his injuries days later. His mother, Ceydria McCray, announced his death on the company's Instagram account, mourning the loss of her son and vowing to continue his business legacy. "Breezy’s Lemonade will go because our job isn’t done," she wrote.

Greene started his lemonade business in June 2019 at the age of 11, initially to provide beverages for his brother who was selling food at an event. He expressed a determination to turn his ideas into greatness through hard work and dedication.

Following a surge in demand for his bottled drinks after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022, Greene developed 10 different flavors and began expanding into herbal teas, mugs, hats, and t-shirts. His business grew to include a lemon-headed mascot and a mobile trailer for sales. He had recently graduated from Richmond Public School’s Huguenot High School on May 26.

No arrests have been made in connection with Greene's shooting. McCray has appealed to the public for information to assist investigators.
