Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce are reportedly planning a multi-day wedding celebration at New York's Madison Square Garden, according to a source familiar with the event. The planned nuptials are expected to involve 1,000 guests, extensive street closures, and a dedicated police detail.

The New York Police Department is reportedly preparing to close a city block outside Madison Square Garden. West 31st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues is slated for closure on July 3, with festivities expected to continue into July 4. The event is described as spanning multiple days for setup, the celebration itself, and breakdown.

Guests are said to have received individual watermarked invitations as a precaution against leaks. A rehearsal dinner for approximately 100 guests is also reportedly scheduled for the evening before the main event. Security measures will include a secure reception tent for guest arrivals to ensure privacy.

The ceremony is reportedly scheduled for the evening of July 3, with the reception extending into the early morning of July 4. Reports suggest musical performances by artists such as Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are planned, with the event being described as potentially larger than the Met Gala.

New York City's Street Activity Permit Office, part of the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management, has reportedly approved the days-long festivities. The NYPD is expected to manage security and traffic control, utilizing taxpayer-funded resources. Equipment has been observed being moved into Madison Square Garden in preparation for the event.
