Tori Evans, a backup dancer for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, has drawn criticism online for her outfit choice at Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce.
Fans expressed disapproval on social media after Evans shared photos of herself and her husband at the event. The dress, described as a strapless satin gown, appeared to be white or a very light cream color in the shared images. Many social media users pointed out that wearing white or off-white to a wedding is considered a breach of etiquette.
"As a guest, white should not be worn. Off-white should also be avoided," one commenter wrote, adding that even shades like champagne and red can be discouraged if they draw attention away from the bride. Others directly commented on Evans's choice, with one user stating, "Way too close to white for a wedding yikes," and another asking, "Out of all the colors did you have to wear white?"
Evans's husband defended her attire in the comments section, explaining that the gown was a "pink champagne color" and that the lighting in the photos made it appear white. However, this explanation did not quell the criticism from some fans.
The wedding ceremony, which reportedly had 1,000 guests, took place on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event featured custom Christian Dior Haute Couture for the couple, with Adam Sandler officiating. The guest list included numerous celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, and Steven Spielberg. Following the ceremony, guests were reportedly treated to performances by musicians like Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney.
Madison Square Garden was transformed for the event, with décor described as an "enchanted garden" featuring towering trees and emerald drapery. Photos of Swift and Kelce throughout their relationship were displayed along an entrance hallway.
