“Good Morning America” co-hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan offered intimate details from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's recent wedding, describing the ceremony as a "dream wedding" held in an "intimate" setting despite its large venue. The trio, who attended the nuptials, shared insights on their Saturday morning show.
Stephanopoulos revealed that Swift and Kelce, both 36, had "little books" at the altar for reciting their vows. He characterized the vows as "real, vulnerable, serious and silly, deeply loving." Roberts highlighted that the couple wrote their own vows, adding to the personal nature of the ceremony. She further described the event at Madison Square Garden as "really intimate" because the guest list included "neighbors [and] their high school friends," making it feel like a typical wedding.
Despite the considerable size of Madison Square Garden, Stephanopoulos noted that the atmosphere felt surprisingly personal. "It’s hard to imagine a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal," he said, calling the event "beautiful" and "a garden inside the Garden."
Roberts also confirmed reports that Stevie Nicks performed at the wedding. Strahan, a former NFL star, echoed the sentiment of the event being a "dream wedding" and expressed gratitude to the couple for the invitation.
According to reports, Swift and Kelce exchanged vows in front of over 1,000 guests. Prior to the star-studded event, the couple had reportedly been legally married. Signs outside Madison Square Garden later announced their union with the message, "JUST&T MARRIED."
Swift's representative confirmed that the singer wore a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown and that actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Stephanopoulos described Sandler's role as "funny and touching," ultimately calling the entire occasion "moving."
