Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are reported to be married, with multiple sources telling Page Six that the couple has already exchanged vows in a private ceremony. This alleged marriage precedes significant celebrations planned for Thursday and Friday at Madison Square Garden.
While details surrounding the private ceremony remain scarce, sources indicate that the couple has already become Mr. and Mrs. Kelce. The celebrations at Madison Square Garden are expected to be substantial, with over 1,000 friends and family invited to a large party on Friday, following a rehearsal dinner on Thursday for 100 guests. Attendees are expected to include notable figures such as Stevie Nicks, Kenny Chesney, and possibly Ed Sheeran and Paul McCartney.
Reports suggest the couple may have recently tied the knot in Tennessee, where Swift relocated at age 14. The city is reportedly abuzz with the news of their legal marriage. However, inquiries regarding a marriage license in New York State have not yielded confirmation, as such records are sealed. Security insiders at Manhattan's City Clerk’s Office reportedly stated they had not seen any sign of a Swift license recently.
A New York State marriage license is valid for 60 days and typically requires a 24-hour waiting period, though judicial waivers are possible. The couple became engaged in August of the previous year at Kelce's mansion in Leawood, Kansas.
Further fueling speculation, Swift's private jet reportedly made stops in cities where the couple's close family members reside. The jet traveled from Nashville to Philadelphia, home to Travis Kelce's father, Ed, and his brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie. It then flew to Tampa, Florida, where Swift's father, Scott, lives, before returning to Nashville. The aircraft remained in Nashville until June 30, when it departed for New York City.
The venue at Madison Square Garden is reportedly undergoing extensive preparations for the events, with the space being transformed to include garden elements. Food from Swift’s favored eateries, including Sartiano’s, is expected to be featured.
