Taylor Frankie Paul, known for her appearances on "The Bachelorette" and "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," announced the completion of her three-year probation on Instagram Friday, utilizing AI-generated images of herself in a courtroom setting. The 32-year-old was arrested in February 2023 following a domestic violence incident with her then-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

Paul shared a series of AI-generated images depicting her in various courthouse scenes, accompanied by a caption reflecting on her probation period. "Three years probation complete. All my PO’s said it was one of the longest probations they had seen for first time offense," she wrote. She also commented on her understanding of domestic violence, stating, "Back then I wasn’t even aware of what DV was. Unfortunately many will experience it as many already have. DV is a sneaky cycle to get stuck in because by the time you realize what actually is happening you’re already stuck in it."

Despite the serious tone of her announcement, many of Paul's followers focused on the artificial nature of the images, with comments like "What's with the AI pics?" and "The AI is wild." Some users expressed skepticism, with one commenting, "Your testimony is as real as these pictures."

This is not the first time Paul has faced scrutiny for her social media content. In March, her season of "The Bachelorette" was canceled just before its premiere when footage surfaced of her throwing chairs at Mortensen in 2023. The resurfaced video also impacted production for "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives."

Legal proceedings related to the domestic violence incident have been complex. In July, Utah social services filed a petition requesting protective supervision for Paul's three children, citing concerns of abuse, neglect, or dependency. Amid these developments, representatives for Paul stated that she was not deterred and welcomed the oversight provided by the juvenile court system. Paul and Mortensen were granted restraining orders against each other in March 2026, with Mortensen initially receiving temporary full custody of their son. The couple has since resumed shared custody of their child.
