Taylor Frankie Paul has voluntarily checked herself into a rehabilitation facility on the recommendation of her doctor, amid escalating co-parenting disputes with her former partners, Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul. A source close to Paul stated that she is "committed to getting better" and that those around her want to see her receive help. The focus remains on protecting her three children: Indy, 8, Ocean, 6, and Ever, 2.
Paul's stay in rehab reportedly created tension with Mortensen, 33. A source close to Mortensen claimed that Paul's departure violated their mutual protective orders, which were issued in April. It was alleged that Paul attempted to arrange visitation for her youngest child, Ever, through a third party to compensate for a missed visit while in treatment. The Bluffdale Police Department in Utah confirmed to Us Weekly that Mortensen contacted them to inquire about a potential violation. Authorities have since spoken with Paul, and a decision regarding the alleged breach of the order is pending.
Paul addressed the situation on TikTok in a post that has since been deleted, writing, "Cops called on me again THIS WEEK … What are the odds? And it’s not people … it’s ONE person, the same person. It’s obsessive." This comment appears to be directed at Mortensen.
Meanwhile, Paul's ex-husband, Tate Paul, has filed a restraining order against her and is seeking sole custody of their two children, Indy and Ocean. A source close to Taylor Frankie Paul suggested that Mortensen influenced Tate Paul's filing, stating, "She feels Dakota will do anything to hurt her … including using the children, but she is a survivor."
Taylor Frankie Paul and Tate Paul were married from 2016 to 2022. Her relationship with Dakota Mortensen was described as on-again, off-again until 2025. Both ex-partners have previously accused each other of domestic violence. Taylor Frankie Paul's representative has not yet responded to requests for comment on the recent developments.
