Tana Ramsay, wife of chef Gordon Ramsay, has revealed the habits she credits for her youthful appearance and consistent energy levels as she approaches her mid-50s. At 52, Ramsay, a mother of six, emphasizes a proactive approach to skincare and a robust fitness regimen that she began incorporating to ensure she has energy well into her eighties.

Ramsay's fitness routine is varied and includes endurance events such as marathons and triathlons. She finds that as she has gotten older, it has become easier to integrate workouts into her daily life. "You have more time to dedicate to training," she said. "On the weekends I can disappear and fill my time cycling, swimming or running."

She has also used training as a bonding activity with her husband. Discussing triathlon training for Great Ormond Street Hospital, she noted, "I was asked by Gordon to take part and I thought, 'What better way to spend the time than being crazy in the freezing cold.' We do odd bits of training together." The couple has been observed engaging in long Sunday cycle rides, sometimes completing up to 60 miles over the Surrey hills. Ramsay also finds personal benefit in running, using it as a method for emotional processing.

Despite her active lifestyle and role as a cookery writer, Ramsay does not adhere to a strict diet. She believes in maintaining a healthy balance in the family's meals, acknowledging that while healthy food is prioritized, treats like chocolate are also present. "We'll have chocolate in the fridge, but our meals are usually healthy. That's how it should be," she stated.

Skincare is another key element of Ramsay's routine. She is particularly vigilant about sun protection, having previously experienced sun damage that led to melasma. "Now I have melasma. I'll never forget going into a pharmacy and the woman behind the counter asking what the stains on my face were," she recalled.

She never leaves the house without applying sunscreen, specifically mentioning Klira The Dayscript cream. For a sun-kissed glow, she opts for gradual tanning lotions, which she notes can be found affordably. "Using a daily broad-spectrum SPF is the secret behind a flawless complexion like Tana Ramsay’s," said Dr. Hasaneen Al Janabi, of Dr Hass Clinic. "This is due to the fact that prevention is infinitely easier than trying to reverse the signs of sun damage which include pigmentation and premature ageing."

Sana Khan, Aesthetic Practitioner and founder of Avicenna Wellbeing, suggested that Ramsay's complexion likely benefits from a combination of genetics, hydration, and potentially medical-grade skincare to manage her melasma, emphasizing a long-term approach to skin health.
