A suspect is dead following a reported active shooter situation at a business park near Tampa, Florida, authorities confirmed Wednesday. The incident occurred at the Citi Bank Center in the Sabal Park business area in Brandon.
An emergency alert instructed individuals in or near the area to shelter in place, lock doors, and stay away from windows. Deputies were reportedly clearing a building in the vicinity. No injuries or fatalities among the public have been reported.
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister announced on social media that the suspect involved was deceased. The sheriff's office has not released further details at this time.
