Susanna Reid, host of Good Morning Britain, launched an unconventional campaign for her show to win Best Daytime Programme at the National Television Awards (NTAs) while on holiday in Ibiza. The 55-year-old presenter donned a black swimsuit at a day rave at O Beach Ibiza, using the occasion to encourage viewers to vote for the show, which has been shortlisted for the award.
Reid appeared via FaceTime on the show, explaining her presence at the popular beach club. "Normally what happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza but this morning I am on special duty for GMB," she stated. She was seen with a group of women holding orange placards that read 'vote GMB'.
"We are absolutely the best daytime," Reid declared, referencing the club as "one of the best daytime clubs in Ibiza – other daytime clubs are available." She later shared images of the campaign on social media, dubbing herself "Raver Reid" and reiterating her plea for votes. "VOTE GMB! We are up for Best Daytime Programme at the incredible NTAs so I celebrated at one of Ibiza's best daytime clubs," she wrote.
Her co-stars Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh also updated viewers on their holidays. Ed Balls was in Norway, while Kate Garraway phoned in from home. Reid is mother to sons Sam, Finn, and Jack, and has previously spoken about enjoying Ibiza trips with her sons when they were old enough to go clubbing.
