Thirteen supercars, including Lamborghinis, a Ferrari, and a Porsche, were seized by Essex Police after their drivers reportedly turned a motorway into a racetrack during rush hour.

The convoy of high-performance cars began on the M11 in London around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, just as the evening commute was starting. Witnesses alerted police to a series of dangerous maneuvers, including excessive acceleration, sudden braking, and bunching together, which disrupted traffic flow. Drivers also allegedly used the hard shoulder to overtake other vehicles.

Roads policing officers intercepted the group at Junction 8 services, where all 13 vehicles were impounded. The seized cars included multiple Lamborghinis, Audi R8s, a Ferrari, and a Porsche.

Each driver received an anti-social driving warning, and police are investigating a number of suspected offenses. Sergeant Will Willsher of Essex Police stated that the reported behavior was not only anti-social but also posed a serious risk to other road users, particularly during peak travel times. He emphasized that speed limits are in place for safety and that the law applies to all road users.

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the cars traveling northbound on the M11 around the time of the incident. Authorities are requesting any information, dashcam footage, or video recordings related to the event, referencing incident 955 of July 28.
