Essex Police seized 13 supercars, including Lamborghinis, a Ferrari, and a Porsche, after drivers were reported to have turned a motorway into a racetrack during peak rush hour. The convoy of high-performance vehicles joined the M11 motorway in London around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, according to police.

Motorists reported witnessing a series of dangerous maneuvers, with drivers of the supercars allegedly accelerating to excessive speeds, braking suddenly, and bunching together to disrupt traffic. Some drivers were also reported to have used the hard shoulder to overtake other vehicles.

Roads policing officers located the convoy at the Junction 8 services, where all 13 vehicles were impounded. The seized cars included multiple Lamborghinis, Audi R8s, a Ferrari, and a Porsche.

Each driver received an anti-social driving warning, and police have identified several suspected offenses. Investigations are ongoing.

Sergeant Will Willsher of Essex Police stated that the reported behavior was not only anti-social but also posed a serious risk to other road users, particularly during busy travel times. He emphasized that speed limits are in place for safety and that the law applies to all road users.

The supercars were put onto the back of trucks and seized by police

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the cars traveling northbound on the M11 around the time of the incident. Information, dashcam footage, or video recordings can be submitted by quoting incident number 955 of July 28.
