Gabriel Hostin, 24, son of "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin, was cited for trespassing on Metro-North Railroad tracks in New Rochelle, New York, on June 16. Sources told the New York Post that Gabriel Hostin was observed jogging along the tracks, disregarding "no trespassing" signs.
When questioned by MTA police, Gabriel Hostin allegedly gave lip to the officers. According to sources, Sunny Hostin was contacted by police and inquired why her son was stopped and spoken to. The sources claimed she stated, "I am Sunny Hostin, I am on ‘The View.’"
Gabriel Hostin was cited for violating posted no trespassing signs on the right-of-way of active railroad tracks near 24 Station Plaza. Court records indicate he is scheduled to appear in New Rochelle court on July 31. There is no indication that he was attempting to harm himself, though authorities noted that the path along the tracks can raise suicide concerns.
Sunny Hostin declined to comment on the incident when reached by phone.
