A prominent streamer, known online as Sneako, declared during a livestream that New York City has become an "Islamic Republic of New York-istan." The declaration occurred on the streets of New York City amidst a celebration of Egypt's World Cup win over Australia, accompanied by chants of "Allahu Akbar."

Sneako, whose legal name is Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy, broadcasted the event on the streaming platform Kick to his over one million followers. During the livestream, he invoked the name of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, stating, "Welcome to Mamdani's New York. You see this city? You see how it looks? Inshallah, your city looks just like this too." He also expressed a hope that "Islam will be in every household. Inshallah the whole world will be Muslim."

Mamdani, who is the first Muslim mayor of New York City, has not yet commented on the streamer's remarks. His office did not respond to a request for comment.

The clip of the incident circulated widely online, garnering millions of views across various platforms. It also drew reactions from notable figures, including Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter), and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, both of whom called for Sneako's deportation.

Sneako, who reportedly converted to Islam in 2023, has a history of provocative online behavior. His past online affiliations have included support for Bernie Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign and association with antisemitic far-right personalities.

In response to the online discussion and calls for deportation, Sneako posted on X, "Every knee will bow. Every tongue confess." He later targeted Elon Musk directly, telling him, "Go back to Africa." Mamdani's office did not respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

Mamdani, the current mayor, has previously been vocal on various political issues. In a speech prior to the July 4th weekend, he criticized ICE agents, Elon Musk, and the concept of "supremacy" in America.
