The 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony commenced in Los Angeles, drawing a constellation of stars to the red carpet at the Peacock Theater. The event, celebrating the year's most acclaimed television programs, aired live on NBC and Peacock.

Hosted by "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" star Mariska Hargitay, the evening brought together a notable cast of actors and actresses from across the television landscape. Attendees included Zendaya, Amy Poehler, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Matthew Rhys, among others.

HBO Max's "The Pitt" and "Hacks" were anticipated to be frontrunners, having received a record number of nominations earlier in the year. The ceremony also included an "in memoriam" segment to honor prominent figures in television who passed away this year, including Dolly Parton, Catherine O'Hara, and James Van Der Beek.

Stars were seen arriving in various high-fashion ensembles. Keltie Knight garnered attention on the red carpet in a flowing pink skirt and white crop top, showcasing a toned midriff. Sheinelle Jones appeared in a one-shouldered green gown, while Erin Lim Rhodes opted for a structured black dress. Ciara Miller was also present, stunning in a low-cut cropped tank top and matching skirt.

In addition to the awards, attendees were treated to a lavish gifting suite by Distinctive Assets, offering a variety of items valued at approximately $27,000 to a select group of A-list celebrities. The Emmys also featured a special tribute to the late Dolly Parton, with country music star Reba McEntire slated to perform an homage. McEntire's performance is expected to honor Parton's legacy less than a month after her passing.

Further adding to the festivities, a segment highlighted interactive elements for viewers, offering Emmys trivia games and quizzes to test knowledge of television's biggest night.
