Spain and Barcelona star Ferran Torres has reportedly ended his relationship with influencer Martina Hunter just days before his country's World Cup semi-final match.
Torres, 26, had been dating Hunter, who has over 60,000 followers on Instagram, for several months. The couple were reportedly seen together on trips to Ibiza. However, Spanish journalist Javi de Hoyos, citing sources close to both individuals, reported that the romance is over. Neither Torres nor Hunter has publicly confirmed the split, but they have unfollowed each other on Instagram, a move often seen as an indication of a breakup.
Torres played as a substitute in Spain's World Cup quarter-final victory over Belgium, a match where Fabian Ruiz and Mikel Merino scored the goals to advance Spain to a semi-final clash with France. Torres has not yet scored in the tournament but had a strong domestic season, scoring 16 goals in 33 league appearances for Barcelona's LaLiga-winning team.
In parallel with the personal news, reports suggest Torres may be considering a move from Barcelona. According to these reports, he could join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), a move that would reunite him with the father of his ex-girlfriend, Sira Martinez. Torres dated Martinez, daughter of Spain's manager Luis Enrique, between 2021 and 2023 during Enrique's tenure as national team coach. Enrique is now the manager at PSG and is reportedly interested in signing Torres.
Spain's manager, Luis de la Fuente, expressed confidence ahead of the semi-final match against France, acknowledging both teams as strong contenders. He stated that Spain is aware of France's potential but also of their own capabilities, noting that Spain was the last team to defeat France in a semi-final. De la Fuente anticipates an open game requiring energetic players and a high level of performance from his squad.
