A Southwest Airlines flight attendant was found dead near a dumpster on Thursday morning after falling from the 24th floor of a hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, according to reports. Jenny Lupton, 50, was on a layover at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort when her body was discovered by a hotel staffer.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Medical examiners believe Lupton fell from her balcony on the 24th floor of the four-star hotel. Lupton, an Oklahoma resident, had been a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines for 23 years and had a 15-year-old son.
Her family has stated they do not believe her death was intentional. "We strongly believe that she didn’t do this intentionally, and so that leads us to think it was either some kind of freak accident or someone harmed her," her sister, Tresa Lupton, told KFOR. Tresa Lupton also mentioned that her sister had enjoyed her layover, going out with a friend and getting a new tattoo hours before her death.
Lupton was described by friends and family as a vibrant person who loved Hawaii and gardening. Her niece, Hannah Lupton, recalled her aunt as "the light of every party" and "unforgettable."
