Sophia Culpo, sister of Olivia Culpo and sister-in-law to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, described a terrifying attempted robbery during a recent train journey in Europe. Culpo shared the experience in a TikTok video posted Friday, recounting the incident that occurred while she and her boyfriend were traveling between Nice and Portofino.

According to Culpo, the couple had placed their luggage in a seat in front of them, which was their only option. As two men who had been sitting on the train began to disembark, one of them allegedly dropped his phone near Culpo's boyfriend's feet in what appeared to be a distraction tactic. While her boyfriend was occupied, Culpo stated that a second man behind the first reached over to take her bag from the luggage area.

Culpo reacted quickly, grabbing her belongings before they could be taken. In the process, she witnessed her boyfriend engaged in a physical altercation with one of the suspects. She described the scene, noting that one of the individuals had a significant scar across his neck, which heightened her fear that they might have been armed.

"It literally looked like a knife wound," Culpo said, adding, "If they had a knife — it was just so scary, honestly."

Despite the scare, the men reportedly left the train without successfully stealing any possessions. Culpo added that one of the suspects later taunted her from the train platform through the window, an act she described as frightening and unsettling.

Culpo concluded her video by urging her followers to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings, especially when traveling internationally. The incident serves as a stark reminder for travelers to take necessary precautions for their safety.
