Apple TV+’s espionage series ‘Slow Horses’ returns for its sixth season, adapting two novels from Mick Herron’s series: ‘Joe Country’ and ‘Slough House.’ The new season sees Jackson Lamb, portrayed by Sir Gary Oldman, River Cartwright (Jack Lowden), and the rest of the MI5 misfits from Slough House on the run, with mysterious targets on their backs.
This season introduces new antagonists: two assassins played by Kyle Soller and MyAnna Buring, and River’s father, Frank Harkness, portrayed by Hugo Weaving. Meanwhile, First Desk Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) engages in a power struggle with Peter Judd (Samuel West) and British news channel owner Damien Cantor (Harry Lloyd), drawing the Slough House agents into her retaliation scheme.
