Skywalker Grill, the flagship restaurant of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, has opened its bookings ahead of the museum's public debut next month. The restaurant, located atop the museum in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, is inspired by the creative environment of George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch.
The museum, co-founded by Lucas and businesswoman Mellody Hobson, is set to open its doors to the public on September 22. The establishment encourages patrons to "come as you are," welcoming casual attire and fan-inspired looks.
The menu at Skywalker Grill will feature classic American fare made with locally-sourced ingredients. Offerings include a Skywalker Ranch Wagyu burger, Dungeness crab cakes, lobster corn dogs, house-made pastas, seasonal salads, and communal appetizers. The restaurant will serve lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art explores visual storytelling and houses Lucas' collection of illustrations, artworks, and film artifacts. The museum also includes two theaters that will host film screenings. Notably, the public debut of a scrapped animated "Star Wars" comedy series, "Star Wars: Detours," developed by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, is planned.
The museum's grand opening has been anticipated since an official unveiling date was announced in November 2025.
