Shaun Edwards has begun a short-term coaching consultancy with the England women's national rugby union team, known as the Red Roses. His appointment comes as the team prepares for the WXV Global Series.

England head coach John Mitchell stated that Edwards expressed interest in working within the international women's setup for the first time after his tenure with France concluded. "He has a huge amount of respect for the Red Roses and what we stand for; he sees it as a privilege to join our environment," Mitchell said. He also highlighted Edwards' "exceptional" coaching credentials and "highest level" experience.

Sarah Hunter, a player for the Red Roses, is reportedly looking forward to learning from Edwards, as is the rest of the coaching staff, ahead of an upcoming Test match against New Zealand.

Edwards recently indicated his openness to coaching opportunities, expressing a desire to be involved in the upcoming men's Six Nations. "I'm definitely open to offers now, until I sort out a full-time role," he told the Daily Mail. He added, "I'm a proud Englishman and everybody loves to represent their country, don't they? I'm no different."
