NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal has offered a wry response after not receiving an invitation to the recent wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. O'Neal, 54, spoke about the perceived snub on Friday at the Fanatics Fest held at the Javits Center in New York City.

"Thanks, Taylor. Thanks, Travis," O'Neal facetiously told People magazine, adding, "May it last forever," when asked for well wishes for the newlyweds. He noted that despite not being on the guest list for the ceremony at Madison Square Garden, his friend Charles Barkley, 63, had declined his invitation.

The high-profile wedding, which took place on July 3, reportedly featured an extensive guest list of approximately 1,000 attendees, including many of Swift's celebrity friends like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, as well as several of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates. The event drew social media commentary, with some users describing the guest list as sprawling and seemingly indiscriminate.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August of the previous year. Their wedding ceremony is reported to have cost around $50 million and included amenities for guests such as a raffle for luxury items and late-night pizza orders.

O'Neal previously met Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl in February, sharing a photo of the encounter on social media at the time. The wedding ceremony itself was a star-studded affair, with notable attendees including actors and other public figures.
