Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno publicly called for Rep. Max Miller to resign from the House of Representatives, citing allegations that Miller abused Moreno's daughter, Emily, and has engaged in dangerous behavior.

Moreno declared that Miller needs professional psychological help and should not continue to serve in Congress. "Out of concern for the safety of my family, I hoped to keep this matter private, but Max Miller’s increasingly erratic and dangerous behavior has made that impossible," Moreno posted on X, formerly Twitter.

He added, "As he has admitted privately, Max Miller needs serious psychological help. He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter. If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them."

The senator also stated that Miller should not be allowed to serve in the House and needs to seek help to end a "clear pattern of abuse."

Moreno's statement comes after Miller, a Republican representing Ohio, denied allegations of abuse from his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, during a livestream. Miller also alleged that Emily Moreno suffers from bipolar disorder, which she has disputed.

Moreno revealed that he had previously avoided commenting on the matter in hopes of keeping it private but felt compelled to speak out due to Miller's actions. He expressed concern for his 2-year-old granddaughter when Miller has custody of her.

Just last week, when asked by NOTUS if Miller should seek reelection, Moreno responded that he did not know. Miller has previously faced accusations of abuse from former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham and was arrested for drunk driving in college. Miller has remained defiant, denying the abuse accusations and stating he would not step down before the November election.
