Scott Eastwood, son of legendary filmmaker Clint Eastwood, has spoken out about witnessing "shocking behavior" from fellow actors in Hollywood, attributing some of it to prolonged fame leading to a sense of entitlement. During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, the 40-year-old actor recounted a specific on-set dispute.

Eastwood described a situation where a prominent actor decided they did not want to work with another individual after significant pre-production money had already been spent on a film. "I was like, ‘Okay, then you need to pay that money back to the person who invested in you.’ They were like, ‘I’m not gonna do that,’” Eastwood explained, emphasizing that repaying the investor was "the right thing to do."

He stated that the individual ultimately departed the project because they were unwilling to collaborate with the other person, even after pre-production had commenced. "I’ve seen some behavior in this business that’s shocking behavior that wouldn’t fly in any other industry," Eastwood commented.

Eastwood credited his father, Clint Eastwood, with instilling a strong work ethic and protecting him and his siblings from the pitfalls of early fame. He noted that his father always treated acting "as a job," emphasizing preparation and professionalism without engaging in method acting.

"My dad was never like that. He was like, it’s a job. Like go to work, do the best you can, put in the reps, make sure you know your s*** and you come prepared, and you have something interesting, but leave it at the door," Eastwood recalled.

He added that growing up and observing industry behavior firsthand helped him understand how not to act. The actor, who lives in Carmel rather than Los Angeles, stated that his father ensured a relatively normal childhood for him and his siblings, teaching them to "be a normal child and learn how the world works."
