Sarah Pidgeon graced the Emmys 2026 red carpet on Monday night in a striking lavender Chanel gown, drawing attention with its pearl-spangled straps and dripping chain details.
Pidgeon, 30, is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in Ryan Murphy's FX series "Love Story." This marks her first Emmy nomination.
The design of her silk gown featured a slip silhouette, which served as a nod to the dress Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wore for her 1996 wedding to John F. Kennedy Jr. Stylist Emma Jade Morrison commented that the ensemble was a choice Bessette-Kennedy would "absolutely approve of."
Pidgeon's hairstyling, which involved transforming her hair to a shade of blond that took over 20 hours for the role, was styled down in soft waves. She accessorized with a diamond camellia lariat necklace, also from Chanel, and opted for a dusky pink lipstick instead of the signature red lip associated with Bessette-Kennedy.
The actress has embraced Bessette-Kennedy's style off-screen throughout the year, previously wearing Calvin Klein to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March and channeling Bessette-Kennedy's downtown New York look in June. She also appeared in Balenciaga's fall 2026 campaign.
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is being hosted by Mariska Hargitay at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and is airing live on NBC and Peacock.
