Sarah Jane Nader Eliminated in Second 'Dancing With the Stars' Premiere Night
The 'Love Thy Nader' star and her partner Hailey Bills were the latest couple to leave the ballroom.
“Dancing With the Stars” has bid farewell to its first female celebrity of Season 35. "Love Thy Nader" star Sarah Jane Nader and her professional partner, Hailey Bills, were eliminated at the conclusion of Wednesday night's broadcast, marking the end of the show's two-night premiere event.
The elimination came after co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro revealed two other couples were in jeopardy: Tatyana Ali, known for her role in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," with partner Jan Ravnik, and celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis with partner Alan Bersten.
Nader and Bills performed a Jive to Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi" during the "Premiere: Night Two" episode. This installment featured all the female celebrities dancing to a No. 1 song from the year of their birth. Nader's performance earned a score of 14 out of 30.
Earlier in the night, "The Traitors" alum Maura Higgins and her partner, Mark Ballas, secured the top score with a 21 out of 30 for their Foxtrot to Alannah Myles' "Black Velvet."
Julia Stiles, star of "Save the Last Dance," and her partner, Ezra Sosa, received a 18 out of 30 for their Quickstep tribute to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5." Parton, the country music icon, passed away last month at the age of 80 after a battle with cancer.
Jenna Dewan, known for "Step Up," and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy scored 19 out of 30 for their Tango to Blondie's "Call Me." Olympic gold medalist Amber Glenn and her partner Pasha Pashkov earned 18 out of 30 for their Cha Cha to Santana's "Smooth."
De Laurentiis, who had been dealing with a toe injury, and Bersten received a 16 out of 30 for their Tango to "Venus" by Shocking Blue. "Summer House" star Ciara Miller and her partner Brandon Armstrong garnered 15 out of 30 for their Foxtrot to Whitney Houston's "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)."
At the bottom of the night's leaderboard were Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik, who received a 12 out of 30 for their Jive to Amii Stewart's "Knock on Wood."
During the first night of the premiere, "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star Conner Leavitt and his professional partner Adele Zaikman were the first couple eliminated from the competition. "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" personality Guillermo Rodriguez, partnered with Witney Carson, and comedian Connor Wood, with partner Rylee Arnold, were also in jeopardy that night.
Conversely, "Glee" alum Harry Shum Jr. and his partner Jenna Johnson achieved the night's highest score, a 21 out of 30, for their Cha Cha to Earth, Wind & Fire's "Let's Groove."
