An 18-year-old San Diego-area man was arrested Saturday on multiple driving-related charges after police said videos showed him performing stunts in a rented U-Haul truck and driving another vehicle recklessly on a highway.

San Diego police released video that appears to capture the teen and a passenger executing a series of stunts in the U-Haul at an intersection. The vehicle was allegedly used as a prop in a sideshow, with the stunts being filmed for social media.

The U-Haul antics resulted in an estimated $5,153 in damage to the street, according to police. Officers apprehended the suspect as he was allegedly performing the stunts in the rented pickup truck.

Investigators have also linked the teenager to several earlier incidents involving similar reckless driving. Another video reportedly shows a white sedan, believed to be driven by the teen, swerving between lanes on a highway and narrowly passing other vehicles.

The teen, who reportedly used social media to routinely post videos of himself driving recklessly around the San Diego region, was booked into San Diego County Central Jail. Charges include felony vandalism, exhibition of speed, and reckless driving. Police indicated that additional charges are possible as investigations into earlier incidents continue.
