A Russian soldier narrowly avoided serious injury when he accidentally discharged a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) at his own feet during a training exercise. Footage circulating on social media captures the incident where a novice soldier is seen handling the RPG launcher. After a brief struggle to position the weapon, he attempts to lower it, but it fires prematurely, striking his feet.

His trainer, who was recording the event, can be heard shouting at the soldier, with expletives expressing dismay and concern. The trainer repeatedly questions the soldier's actions, calling him an "idiot" and asking if he has "gone crazy."

This training mishap comes as Ukraine reports significant Russian casualties. According to Ukraine's General Staff of the Armed Forces, Russia has suffered nearly 1.5 million casualties since the start of the invasion, with approximately 1,500 Russian soldiers experiencing casualties daily. The Ukrainian report also details extensive Russian equipment losses, including thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery systems.

In response to ongoing Ukrainian drone attacks targeting its infrastructure, Russian President Vladimir Putin has granted the state authority to seize control of critical infrastructure facilities deemed insufficiently protected. This decree allows the government to temporarily administer facilities in sectors such as fuel, energy, industrial, communications, and transport if their owners fail to adequately protect them or repair them after attacks. This measure comes as Ukraine has intensified its drone strikes on Russian oil refineries and retail warehouses, impacting major online retailers.

His trainer, who was filming the incident, quickly screamed at him: 'You f***ing idiot, move back! What, are you stupid?
