Rome Seymour, a contestant on "Big Brother 28," has stated he is not bothered by his showmance partner, Lyric Medeiros, appearing to flirt with fellow houseguest Kamu Kirk shortly after Seymour's eviction. Seymour explained in an interview that he had advised Medeiros to cultivate relationships with other house members to advance her position in the game.
"I told her before I left, ‘You have to use your cute damsel in distress presence to really get in good graces with the other side of the house, because these guys will eat this ‘hero idea’ for lunch,'" Seymour, 28, told Page Six. He characterized Medeiros as intelligent and adept at playing a "cutesy, lovey-dovey self," which he believes is a strategic asset.
Seymour emphasized that Medeiros' interactions with Kirk do not concern him because he understands she is "playing a game." He also noted that Medeiros publicly affirmed her continued affection for him during a recent episode, stating, "I love Rome. But I have to play the heck out of this game." Seymour expressed his full support for this approach.
Furthermore, Seymour confirmed he holds no resentment towards Medeiros for voting him out. He reiterated that he had given her pre-eviction instructions to do "whatever you have to do to get in the good graces of that other half of the house and be present there." He stated that he would not be upset if her actions led to his eviction.
However, Seymour admitted he was surprised by the vote count, which resulted in his removal from the house by a 12-1 margin. He initially speculated that Medeiros might have disregarded his advice. Upon learning that Taylor Brown was the sole vote to keep him, Seymour expressed appreciation for Brown's loyalty, recalling a similar promise of support he had offered her.
Despite his departure from the game, Seymour has been following the live feeds and the unfolding drama within the house, including a confrontation between Jason De Puy and Kirk. Seymour drew parallels between that conflict and a similar situation he experienced on nomination night, praising De Puy's handling of the dispute and expressing a desire to offer him support.
