Rob Reiner, the acclaimed actor, has been honored with a posthumous Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. The nomination comes seven months after his death and recognizes his role as Albert on the FX drama "The Bear."
Reiner's performance was in season four of the culinary series. He was 78 at the time of his passing. The Emmy Awards nominations were announced on Wednesday.
Seven months prior to the nominations, Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were reportedly murdered. The incident occurred last December at their mansion. Their son, Nick Reiner, 32, was taken into custody in connection with their deaths.
