Despite an estimated 1,000 guests, NFL legend Rob Gronkowski described the wedding of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift as both "magnificent" and "very intimate."

Gronkowski, a former teammate of Kelce's at the University of Cincinnati and a longtime friend, shared his impressions of the ceremony in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. He characterized the event as "very lovey-dovey," a sentiment that stood out given the large number of attendees. "It was a big one, but it really felt very lovey-dovey," he stated.

The former New England Patriot, who has attended numerous high-profile events, remarked that this wedding was the largest he had ever experienced. However, he emphasized that the scale did not detract from a sense of personal connection and intimacy among the guests. "Very intimate. That's what it did for how big of a wedding it was. Was the biggest one I've ever been to. It was very intimate, you know, for such a large-scale wedding," Gronkowski said.

He further praised the couple for their efforts in orchestrating the event, awarding it an "A+" rating. "Congratulations to Taylor and Travis on not just on all the love and positive energy that they're bringing to the table but to be able to throw a wedding like that takes so much time and effort. To be able to put that together and make it such a great experience for everyone is very appreciated," he told Fox News Digital.

While speaking in partnership with eBay, Gronkowski also noted the high caliber of attendees, describing the gathering as a unique convergence of celebrities. "I have never (seen so many celebrities). I've been to a lot of events. It was definitely the biggest, most impactful one I've ever been to with just so many people that you turn around and you say, ‘Wow, wow. Wow. Like that's that person.’ And like I said, to have that and to have it be so intimate still, it's what made it special," he recalled.

Gronkowski mentioned that he had not yet personally congratulated Kelce following the wedding but acknowledged the athlete's continued success and longevity in his football career, as Kelce prepares to enter his 14th season. The NFL veteran was recently seen attending an NBA Eastern Conference Finals game between the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers on May 23, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio, where Swift and Kelce were also present.
