A video of Australian-American rocker Rick Springfield performing shirtless at age 76 has recently gone viral, sparking discussion on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

During a segment on the podcast, Rogan and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee reacted to a clip of Springfield performing his hit song "Jessie's Girl" while supporting Sammy Hagar on tour. Rogan noted Springfield's toned physique and energy, telling Lee, "He looks f***ng incredible. Like he's working out every day. I don't even understand it. He looks like a 30-year-old guy."

Lee responded with "F*ing inspirational. Good job, bro." Rogan also commented on Springfield's vitality, stating, "A lot of people at 76 are waiting to die. This dude is on stage with no shirt on, fking crushing life."

Springfield, who was born Richard Lewis Springthorpe in Australia, has previously discussed his fitness routine. In 2023, he told People magazine that he works out daily and follows a pescatarian diet. He mentioned trying a vegan diet, which he said made him "look like hell," before reintroducing fish for protein. "I just got a trainer, and I've been working out with him. Basically, I watch what I eat, and I try and stay active," he said.

Springfield rose to prominence in the early 1980s with his hit song "Jessie's Girl." Beyond his music career, he also has an extensive acting résumé, including a long-standing role on the soap opera "General Hospital" and appearances in shows like "Californication" and "True Detective."
