Richard Gere and his family celebrated the Fourth of July in New York City, marking their return to the United States after relocating to Spain. Gere's wife, Alejandra Silva, shared moments from their holiday celebration on Instagram, highlighting the family's connection to both countries.

Silva posted photos of the family near the Statue of Liberty, reflecting on their life split between two cultures. "Deeply grateful for a life built between two countries, two cultures, and so many people we love," she captioned the post. "Today, we celebrate connection, family, friendship, and everything that reminds us that home is not only a place, but the people we carry in our hearts."

The actor, 76, and Silva, 43, were seen with their two youngest sons, Alexander and James, on a boat near the landmark. Photos also showed the children playing on the beach and watching fireworks.

In 2024, Gere announced the family's move to Spain, Silva's home country. He explained at the time that their children, being bilingual, would "flourish there." Silva's family and culture are also rooted in Spain, and Gere noted that their youngest children were growing up with perfect Spanish.

Gere and Silva married in 2018. Gere has a son, Homer, from his previous marriage to Carey Lowell. Silva has a son, Albert, from her ex-husband Govind Friedland.
