Actor Richard E. Grant has playfully exchanged banter with comedian Rob Beckett about teeth in a new Instagram video, following a significant on-air confession on "Celebrity Traitors" that caused confusion among his co-stars. Grant, 69, had previously admitted "I'm a traitor" during an episode, leading to shock and speculation about his role in the game.

In the recent video, Grant reenacted the moment of being questioned by Beckett, 40, about his identity in the game. Grant attempted to deflect by asking Beckett, "Have you got more teeth than a normal person?" Beckett retorted, "Richard, do you have more forehead than a normal person?" Grant responded by humorously sticking a yellow post-it note with "Traitor" written on it to his forehead.

Grant captioned the video, "Clearly, @robbeckettcomic & I are no longer on speaking terms!" He also shared a second note that read, "Traitors ep 3, BBC1 8pm Thursday," teasing his potential exit from the show.

Earlier, during the episode, Beckett had asked Grant about his "bold strategy" after the confession. Grant's deflection tactic involving Beckett's teeth left viewers in hysterics, with many taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to praise his "iconic" and obvious deflection.

Fans also expressed frustration with the episode's cliffhanger ending, which cut off before the round table vote. This abrupt conclusion left viewers speculating and waiting an additional six days for the next installment. Some viewers criticized the show for breaking its usual format, which typically concludes after a murder or a round table vote, not during one.

Elsewhere in the episode, former BBC "Today" programme host Amol Rajan was murdered by fellow Traitors Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama. Rajan had been competing with podcaster James Acaster to be selected as the third Traitor by Grant and Jama, ultimately losing out.

Grant's confession was not the first major moment of the series launch, which attracted a record-breaking nine million viewers. The incident occurred when Grant, mingling with a Faithful contestant, Joe Lycett, was directly asked, "What are you?" Grant's immediate reply of "A Traitor" with a grin has been described as the biggest slip-up in "Celebrity Traitors" history. Lycett's reaction, "I think you've just done something that has never happened in the game... bold strategy," highlighted the unexpected nature of Grant's confession.
