Wrestling legend Ric Flair has clarified recent social media posts that suggested a romantic reconciliation with his ex-partner, Wendy Barlow. Flair, 77, initially posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday about Barlow returning to him, stating, "It Was Only A Matter Of Time Until You Came Running Back!!"

He further added, "She Finally Figured Out There Is Only One Ric Flair And One James Bond, And Currently Ric Flair Is Available For Any Kind Of Action. Let’s See If Wendy Still Has It! LFG!"

However, on Monday, Flair issued a statement on X to explain his earlier remarks. He emphasized that he and Barlow are not rekindling a romantic relationship but are instead renewing a "34 Year Friendship." Flair noted that Barlow has her own residence and he has his, and her primary reason for visiting is to care for her elderly parents.

"Wendy Will Continue To Do What She Does Best, Travel The World, And Help People Who Are Struggling In Other Countries," Flair wrote. "I’ll Resume What I Do And Love Most Which Is Attending Public Events And Signing Autographs At Meet & Greets."

He also addressed the public's interpretation of his initial post, asking for the situation not to be turned negative. Flair highlighted Barlow's support during a two-year period when he was severely ill, stating her whole family took care of him. He concluded by stating, "Wendy And I Are Good."

Flair and Barlow had previously split after being in a relationship for 13 years. The WWE Hall of Famer has been married five times previously to Leslie Goodman, Elizabeth Harrell, Tiffany VanDemark, and Jaqueline Beems. He has four children from two of these marriages.

Flair's wrestling career has seen him achieve numerous accolades, including eight World Championship Wrestling world heavyweight championships, nine National Wrestling Alliance world heavyweight championships, and two WWE championships. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008 and again as a member of the Four Horsemen in 2012. Flair has made sporadic appearances in wrestling since his supposed "Last Match" in 2022 and in 2023 with All Elite Wrestling.
